Braised Brisket


For our 4th of July celebration with family I wanted to make something that is classic American Fare.  I saw this recipe for Braised Brisket on 5 Ingredient Fix and knew it was just the thing!

It is a very simple recipe.  It calls for a BBQ spice blend.  Next time, I think I will make my own just to have a bit more control over the flavors and heat.  I followed the recipe very closely and ended up with a sauce that was more like Au'jus.  It was good but nearly as thick as the final result on the show.  The meat however was fantastic, really good!  I would make this recipe again, no question!
