Da' ladies and I headed off to Kittery to do some outlet shopping. We had lunch at Bob's Clam Hut. Don't knock it, it is super fresh, simple seafood and it is right next to Kittery Trading Post. There was no choice but for me to have the Lobster Roll, hold the mayo. It was awesome, lobster was the perfect fuel for more shopping in the afternoon!
We headed back to the hotel before dinner to enjoy champagne and chambord....fabulous! We made reservations at the Old Village Inn in Ogunquit, ME. I warned them we were a large, slightly loud group of women. Appropriately, they sat us in a private room. :)
I enjoyed a glass (or two) of Louis Jadot Pouilly Fuisse...one of my favorite whites. I had scallops sauteed with spinach and mushrooms served over angel hair and finished with a cream sauce for dinner. The cream sauce was a little bland but the scallops were cooked to perfection.
I had a great time, fabulous company and good food! Now back to real life...
I can vouch for the lobster roll. There was lots of meat...A great time. Down the Marginal Way by 8 am and lots of time for the shoe stores and kitchen store. I can't wait to use my Celphalon pot!!
