CEiMB- Broccoli Cheddar Bake

This week's CEiMB recipe, Broccoli Cheddar Bake, was chosen by Heide.  It was the perfect dish for a brunch we hosted after church this past Sunday.  I know I have talked about this before, but egg and bread bakes stir up some scary memories for me.  It is a texture thing...  I have found that using a baguette, such as with this recipe, helps to remove this angst.  Anyway, on with the post...

This is a GREAT recipe especially for entertaining.  You make it ahead of time, pop it in the oven, and pull it out just as folks are arriving.  You will look like a star without even breaking a sweat.  Sorry the picture isn't great...

  1. Well it doesn't matter if the picture isn't your favorite, as long as it tasted good. I can see all the elements and they all look good to me! We made it for dinner this evening and it was a big hit. I will make it again, like you said, it is great to have something to make ahead when you have guests overnight, etc.

  2. I have the same fears about egg and bread combinations, but this one turned out really well. The texture can be a little iffy sometimes, but we were impressed this time around. Great dish to serve guests!
