I did a duathlon this morning that included a 2mi run, 10mi bike, and 3.2mi run.  Just for fun it was 40 degrees and rainy!  I have not been that cold in a long time.  I am happy with how the race went but so tired.  We ran a couple errands this afternoon and all I could think about was geting home to relax this evening. This was my solution to a recovery meal...

My brother is visiting my parents this weekend.  One of his favorite dishes (the rest of us love it too) is my Mom's lasagna.  In my Mom's words it is "1/2 box noodles...2lb of cheese...parmesan, mozzarella, and ricotta..11/2 lb of ground angus beef/sausage mix...prepared pasta sauce....fresh parsley on top.  COMFORT!"  Believe me when I say, it is awesome!

  2. Hello... first off I love the blog, anything featuring food is good in my opinion. But what is up with not having a Jamie book in your cookbook section! We just had some comfort food tonight: Guinness and beef stew it is one of our favorites.

  3. the salad looks amazing....the "girls" didn't even eat 1/2 of the lasagna!!!! we called Patrick to come help but no answer..he'll be disappointed!!
    I had roasted spaghetti squash with my meat sauce...ummmm
